When Red Bull unveiled this year’s car for the first time, it took the world by surprise because,

while it clearly differed from the all-conquering RB19 of the previous season, it nevertheless seemed to be just as competitive.

Adrian Newey, Red Bull’s chief technology officer, downplayed the modifications from the previous season, referring to the RB20 as a “third evolution” of the 2022 RB18 before the car’s premiere, until notable exterior alterations became visible.
