The Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney announced his departure….

With a lightning-fast 40-yard sprint performance of 4.29 seconds on Friday at the 2024 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins stole the scene.

His previous colleagues, who were watching back in “Death Valley,” went crazy as he established the standard for the defensive backs group with a 40-second time of 4.29 seconds.

Unfortunately, it came at a price for Wiggins, who entered the combine ranked No. 16 on Mel Kiper’s Big Board.

When Wiggins finished his run, he came up limping and went to the bench. After receiving assistance from a trainer to leave the field, he said to NFL Network that he felt a “pop” in his groin. Afterwards, a medical team discovered Wiggins had sustained a hip flexor injury.

Wiggins’ participation in the combine will be terminated due to the injury, but he is anticipated to take part in the Clemson Pro Day.

During the 2023 regular season, Wiggins racked up 29 tackles (one for a loss), one sack, two forced fumbles, six passes defensed, and two interceptions. He is most likely going to be selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which will make Clemson fans even more happy.
