Chicago bulls thwart the Sacramento kings from 22 down….

The Chicago Bulls’ season of ups and downs reached yet another peak on Monday night at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento,

as they overcame a steep 22-point hole in the third quarter to overcome the Sacramento Kings 113-109. The Bulls’ triumph was well-earned, as they were able to start their road trip with a win and raise their season record to 29-32.

With three minutes remaining in the third quarter, the Bulls fell behind, 89-67, and it looked like they were going to lose for the second straight game. Nevertheless, the Bulls refused to give up in the face of a massive deficit, rallying behind the effort of DeMar DeRozan (19 points in the fourth quarter) and Coby White, who with 1:32 remaining in the game knotted the score at 109 points apiece.

The Bulls trailed 89-67 with three minutes left in the third quarter, and it appeared as though they would lose for the second straight game. Even with a huge deficit, the Bulls persisted, thanks to the play of DeMar DeRozan (19 points in the fourth quarter) and Coby White, who with 1:32 left in the game tied the score at 109 points apiece.

De’Aaron Fox of the Kings failed to make the potentially game-winning three-point shot and misdirected the ball, handing the ball back to the Bulls. With 3.5 seconds remaining, DeRozan sealed the victory by making two free throws.
