There was a lot of conjecture that a trade involving Justin Fields may be finalized during the NFL Combine week. Even though nothing is known as of yet, Adam Schefter of ESPN put a minor wrench in what many had assumed would happen.
Fields moving to Atlanta would be unexpected, according to Schefter, who made a suggestion on SportsCenter that the Steelers are still very much in the running for the Bears quarterback.

There are numerous parallels between the Falcons and Steelers. They feel like they are one quality quarterback away from becoming legitimate players in their respective conferences, and they both have excellent skill position players and strong defenses. Although Fields has also been discussed with the Raiders, it doesn’t make much sense for his former offensive coordinator Luke Getsy to be hired as the offensive coordinator in Las Vegas. The two were obviously at odds in Chicago, and getting back together wouldn’t make sense. It appears that Fields will end up in either Pittsburgh or Atlanta.
