Reuter went one better, having Kansas City choose Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman with the top-25 pick.
Regarding Coleman, he stated, “Selecting receiver Rashee Rice in the second round last year was a nice start, but the Chiefs’ inconsistency at the [WR] position could force them to trade up for another top-tier talent.”
“The Packers traded down last year so the [Detroit] Lions could take Brian Branch (smartly parlaying the pick into receivers Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks and defensive lineman Karl Brooks after multiple deals),” according to Reuter on the Green Bay side of the transaction. “Now they have their versatile defensive back [CB Cooper DeJean], who can create turnovers with his ball skills, strength against the run, and coverage ability,” the statement continued.
Keon Coleman, a possible draft pick by the Chiefs, has “Outstanding Size & Strength” at wide receiver
Coleman was characterized as a “rare physical talent at the position boasting outstanding size and strength but also showcasing the movement skills of a smaller receiver” by Brentley Weissman of The Draft Network, who turned to the experts for Coleman scouting information.
“[Coleman] projects as an immediate WR1 at the next level,” the scouting expert continued.
Draft expert Derrik Klassen of Bleacher Report said that WR1’s physicality and “elite ball skills” account for a lot of the hype surrounding him.
