Luvu, also known as the “Energizer Bunny,” was the kind of linebacker Washington had been missing for a while. He was formerly a member of the Panthers. Despite not having the same stat line as his 2022 season of breakthrough success, Luvu finished with 125 tackles, 10 for loss, 11 QB hits, 5.5 sacks, and five pass breakups.

Luvu ranks fourth in pressures generated in the last two seasons (43), making him one of the NFL’s greatest pass-rushing off-ball linebackers, according to Pro Football Focus. Luvu is not only the perfect chess piece for a Dan Quinn defense, but he also has the potential to transform the Commanders’ culture in the long run.

The Minnesota Vikings signed OLB Andrew Van Ginkel to a two-year, $20 million contract.

After a stellar season with the Miami Dolphins, Van Ginkel is a jack of all trades and one of the most valuable offseason additions. The seventh-ranked edge defender by PFF from the previous campaign will earn the 22nd-highest yearly salary among outside linebackers from Minnesota in 2024.
