So sad: Braves loss 2 key players today and….

The all-star outfielder for the Braves is experiencing some knee pain, but it doesn’t appear to be a factor that will affect the regular season.

He got an MRI, which revealed minor meniscus irritation, but barring any unexpected results from his physician’s examination, he should be ready for Opening Day.

Hurston Waldrep, who had his spring debut elsewhere, displayed both his greatest strength and his area of potential.

Waldrep certainly had some nasty stuff on his throws and occasionally made hitters look dumb, but he had command issues and walked a batter in both of his two innings pitched. With those secondary pitches, he has the potential to be a major league pitcher if he can control his command sufficiently.
