Even while many people were surprised by Saban’s retirement, it also had a cascading effect on college football.
The Florida State Seminoles awarded Mike Norvell an eight-year contract extension for more than $10 million annually on January 12, two days after he announced his retirement due to speculations that he was linked to Alabama. Before, he was expected to receive
