She claimed that they had a great time and that the atmosphere was entirely different from that of basketball.

Both Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark’s 2025 seasons ended tragically as their teams secured a postseason berth while both players were sidelined due to season-ending injuries. Late in the season, Cunningham tore her right MCL, and Clark was sidelined due to a groin ailment. Throughout the Fever’s playoff run, they were a regular on the bench. Despite their absence, the team advanced to the semifinals and lost to the eventual champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
