A five-star recruit for Iowa women’s basketball has set a commitment date. Josh Helmer’s portrait Addison Bjorn, a five-star Iowa women’s basketball recruit, has set a decision date, according to Josh Helmer of Hawkeyes Wire. According to Shane Laflin of ESPN, Bjorn will make her college commitment public at her high school, Park Hill South in Riverside, Missouri, on November 20 at 11:15 a.m. CT.

‎The Show-Me State’s gifted prospect will have to choose between Texas, Iowa, Kansas, UConn, Notre Dame, North Carolina, and Duke. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, 6-foot-2 star Bjorn is the top player in Missouri, the ninth-ranked player in the nation, and the second-ranked small forward. Between September 25 and 28, Bjorn traveled to Iowa City to watch the Hawkeyes play Indiana in football.

‎The day following the end of the early signing period is Bjorn’s commitment date. Bjorn would have to wait until April 15 to sign with the college of her choice unless she signed and turned in her paperwork prior to her announcement on November 20. Bjorn was named the 2024–25 Gatorade Player of the Year for Missouri. Bjorn averaged 22.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 3.3 steals per game when she was selected.

‎In its 2026 class, Iowa has already acquired McKenna Woliczko, a five-star forward. Woliczko chose to sign with Iowa over Ohio State, USC, and South Carolina, three other finalists. Before sustaining a season-ending injury that coach Jensen mentioned, Woliczko was averaging 22.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game on 59% shooting the previous season. Woliczko averaged 22.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game during her sophomore campaign with Archbishop Mitty.
