Iowa Women’s Basketball 2025–2026 Season TV Schedule and Tipoff Times Announced IOWA CITY— The wait is over.
For the 2025–26 Iowa women’s basketball season, the University of Iowa and the Big Ten Conference have formally announced a few tipoff times and TV designations. Because this year’s schedule promises drama, high-profile matchups, and greater national exposure than ever before, fans are already marking this date on their calendars. Carver-Hawkeye Arena games will continue to be the season’s main event.
Seven nonconference games will be played on the home court, and some of them already have set tip times. Iowa’s exhibition season begins on October 30 against Ashland (time to be determined). The first actual test follows on November 3 against Southern University in Iowa City. Along with difficult road trips like against Baylor and Miami in Orlando, early nonconference games also include home games against Evansville and Drake. A matchup with UConn in Brooklyn on December 20 at 12:00 p.m. CST is one of the season’s biggest headliners.
Soon after, conference play starts. The Big Ten schedule will begin on the road at Rutgers on December 6. On New Year’s Day, Iowa will play its first home game on January 1st since 2006 against Nebraska. The Hawkeyes will also go on the West Coast, playing back-to-back games against UCLA on February 1 and USC on January 29. On the road against Wisconsin on March 1, the regular season will come to an end. Several major dates already have national platforms, but not all games have a channel yet because Iowa’s TV designations are still being filled.
The game against Drake in Iowa City on November 13 has been confirmed; the tipoff time is set for 7:30 p.m. While their TV windows are still being negotiated, other games will be “TBA.” The way this schedule combines ambition and tradition is fascinating. The program is now making sure it reaches more fans as Iowa continues to defend its standing as a national power.
This priority is further demonstrated by the choice to air games like UConn and the West Coast trip on well-known platforms. Tradition pulls at the heartstrings of devoted supporters: the rekindled rivalries with Nebraska, the historic Iowa State “Cy-Hawk” game (which is anticipated to happen in Ames on December 10), and important home games against Michigan, Ohio State, and Illinois.
The opportunity to see Iowa women on large screens in Brooklyn or across the nation is the allure for newer fans. Excitation has already been expressed by the players themselves. Tip times and TV slots are more than just logistical considerations to them; they are opportunities to demonstrate their abilities, engage with supporters, and advance women’s basketball.

Iowa’s 2025–26 campaign could be more than just wins and losses if this schedule holds true. There may be a push to increase their reach and make sure every game matters not just on the court but also in American living rooms this season. Fans should keep checking back for updates, as there may still be final TV assignments, changes, and tip adjustments. However, the roadmap has already been drawn. Cameras, spectators, and competition are all set up for Iowa women’s basketball.
