Fans in Tears After P! nk Surprised Again! Bring Me A Family Pink Brings Terminally Ill Fan Onstage.
While taking the stage at her sold-out show in Chicago this past weekend, P! nk sent an entire stadium into tears with best celebrity moment — and it illustrates exactly why she’s not just a pop star, but a truly generous human being.
About halfway into the performance, with P! nk’s hit ballad “What About Us,” she stopped the music and spoke to a fan holding a sign that said: “My dream is to sing with you before I go.” That fan, 17-year-old Maya Jenkins, has a terminal illness and had made the trip to the concert, with her family, in what she referred to as her “final concert.”
Without hesitation, P! nk invited Maya onstage. There were cheers and tears; they hugged. P! nk then handed a microphone to Maya, and the two sang the chorus together as thousands of fans illuminated the arena with their phone flashlights as a show of solidarity.
Maya’s voice was sweet and soft, but completely heartfelt. Tears washed over her face — and P! nk’s — as they sang together. After the performance, P! nk dropped to his knees next to Maya and told her, “You are the bravest little girl I ever knew. This moment is yours forever.”
The emotional moment immediately went viral on social media. “Not a dry eye in the house. That’s the kind of artist P! nk is. She sees people.” Another wrote, “We just witnessed true love, music, and humanity tonight.”
Later that evening, P! nk shared an Instagram photo of her and Maya, along with the caption: “This is why I sing. You are the light of my heart tonight.”

And her family could hardly believe it, offering profuse thanks, saying the moment had given her something no drug would ever be able to — joy, validation, peace.
