Outrage Erupts at Forest: Premier League Hits Club with Shocking
Forest fury boiled against OUTRAGE: Premier League slaps club with STAGGERING ban – Nottingham bites back STRAIGHT away!
The Nottingham Forest supporters are unimpressed after the Premier League gave the club a much-criticised punishment which has left fans hopping mad and crying foul.
The Premier League opened a disciplinary investigation into Forest on Wednesday after an alleged breach of financial regulations relating to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). The verdict, which involves the threat of a points deduction, transfer bans and a fine, is subject to appeal. The move has been made only weeks before the new season is due to start — adding further friction to a choppy time for the club during the off-season.
Forest fans have taken to social media en masse, branding the decision “unjust” and “a targeted attack on a historic club.” The anger was intensified after fans saw other clubs of similar means appearing to escape similar punishment.
Nottingham Forest made a swift and defiant response in an official club statement, which read:
We are profoundly disappointed at the drastic, damaging and unwarranted action taken by the Premier League’s shareholders, Julian Knight MP, Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee chairman. Nottingham Forest has fully complied with the financial rules and regulations and have contested them with the EFL on an ongoing basis and [we] will launch an immediate appeal. We will not allow our club’s principles, or future, to be compromised.
Behind the scenes, sources say, Forest officials are gearing up for litigation and lining up heavy-hitter allies to challenge the ruling. The club’s lawyers have already approached lawyers at the FA and Premier League for emergency discussions.
Fans are now set to come together at City Ground on Saturday to protest at the way things are.

With Forest intent on clearing their name, this war is not over yet — and the Premier League could soon be receiving just as much attention as the club it has zeroed in on.
