BREAKING: A Three-Year Starter at Guard at UGA (2017-2019), Kindley Eanred Second Team All-American Honors in 2019 and Was Drafted in the Fourth Round of the 2020 NFL Draft
With former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Solomon Kindley turning 28 today, Dawg fans will be thinking back to how powerful the big man was in the trenches during one the most competitive times in Georgia football.
Kindley, a 6-foot-4, 330-pound guard from Jacksonville, Fla., came to Athens in 2016 and quickly made a name for himself as a physical, high-IQ type of offensive lineman. He redshirted his first season, then was part of Georgia’s offensive line from 2017-19 when he started 32 games during his final three seasons. His pass-blocking and run-blocking opened gaping holes for Georgia, leading to one of the most punishing running games in the SEC.
Kindley’s excellence in 2019 saw him named a second-team All-American, a recognition that he was among the top players at his position across the country. Georgia won the SEC East that season and had a Sugar Bowl victory, due, in large part, to the strength and consistency of its offensive line — lovingly referred to as the “Great Wall of Georgia.”
Kindley’s leadership and toughness made him an appealing prospect for NFL scouts and he was picked by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft*. He made 13 starts as a rookie, displaying the same power and technique he had shown in Athens.

Though injuries and roster turnover have muddied his career in the pros, Kindley’s presence at Georgia is forever etched in the program’s annals. He helped open holes for stars like Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, D’Andre Swift and Jake Fromm — and earned the admiration of teammates, coaches and the public.
