Ghost Joins Forces with Slipknot for Sinister Supergroup—Album and Tour Coming Soon!
In a move that has sent shockwaves through the heavy metal world, Swedish occult rock titans Ghost and American masked metal juggernauts Slipknot have officially announced the formation of a sinister supergroup set to deliver a collaborative album and a worldwide tour in 2026.
The project—tentatively titled “The Nameless Communion”—will see Papa Emeritus IV and Corey Taylor fronting an all-star lineup made up of members from both bands. According to a joint statement released on social media, the album is already in production and will blend the ritualistic theatrics of Ghost with the brutal, high-octane aggression of Slipknot, promising fans a sound described as “the unholy marriage of melody and madness.”
“We’ve been circling each other for years,” said Ghost frontman Tobias Forge (Papa Emeritus IV) in an exclusive interview with Metal Hammer. “There’s always been a deep mutual respect between us and Slipknot. This project is about pushing the boundaries of metal in ways no one thought possible.”
Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor echoed the excitement, saying, “It’s raw, it’s powerful, and it’s completely insane. When we hit the studio together, something just clicked. This isn’t just a side project—it’s an evolution.”
The upcoming album, scheduled for release in early 2026, will feature 12 original tracks, with titles rumored to include “Communion of Scars,” “Thurible of Fire,” and “Nine Circles One Pope.” Renowned producer Rick Rubin is reportedly overseeing the sessions, further amplifying the anticipation.
Even more electrifying is the announcement of the “Unholy Alliance World Tour,” which will see the supergroup performing in massive stadiums and arenas across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. Fans can expect a high-concept visual spectacle—complete with custom masks, stage props, and an immersive storyline that bridges both Ghost’s and Slipknot’s dark mythologies.
Pre-sale tickets for the tour are expected to drop in early fall 2025, with fan club members receiving exclusive early access.
With two of the most theatrical and influential metal bands on the planet merging forces, The Nameless Communion could mark a new era in heavy music—one where spectacle, sound, and shock collide in unforgettable fashion.
