Following their extensive 2025 European tour, U.D.O. is set to begin work on their next studio album, with early songwriting sessions already underway. In a recent interview with Rockaxis TV, members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Sven Dirkschneider (drums), and Fabian “Dee” Dammers (guitar) discussed the band’s plans for new music.

Sven added that Dee and Andrey are always equipped to create music wherever they are, although nothing is yet finalized regarding a new studio album .
Udo shared his excitement about Peter Baltes, formerly of ACCEPT and now part of U.D.O. and DIRKSCHNEIDER, contributing to the songwriting process. He anticipates that Baltes’s involvement will bring a fresh dynamic to the next U.D.O. album .
The band’s most recent album, “Touchdown,” was released in August 2023 through Atomic Fire Records. It was the first studio album to feature Peter Baltes as an official member of U.D.O. The album was crafted with producer and mixing engineer Martin “Mattes” Pfeiffer at Redhead Studio in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, and mastered by Stefan Kaufmann at ROXX Studio in Solingen, Germany. The record includes a guest appearance by violinist Stefan Pintev on the closing track, and bass tracks were recorded by Baltes .
As U.D.O. wraps up their 2025 tour, fans can look forward to new music on the horizon, with the band eager to explore fresh creative directions in their upcoming album.
