The Cure Announces Remix Album Mixes of a Lost World Featuring Four Tet, Chino Moreno, and More — Out June 13, 2025

Legendary British rock band The Cure has officially announced the upcoming release of a highly anticipated remix album titled Mixes of a Lost World, set to drop on June 13, 2025. The album features 24 unique reinterpretations of tracks from their critically acclaimed 2024 release, Songs of a Lost World.

This remix collection is no ordinary project—it’s a curated effort led by frontman Robert Smith, who was inspired after receiving a series of unsolicited remixes from various artists that he found compelling. What began as a spontaneous idea has grown into a full-scale collaborative production involving a wide range of renowned musicians and producers across genres.

Confirmed contributors include Chino Moreno of Deftones, electronic maestro Four Tet, iconic DJ Paul Oakenfold, Scottish post-rock giants Mogwai, UK electronica duo Orbital, genre-bending producer Mura Masa, and Danish electronic artist Trentemøller. Their contributions breathe new life into the emotional and atmospheric textures that defined Songs of a Lost World.

The album will be available in two physical and digital editions:

  • A two-disc standard version that includes remixes of all eight original tracks.
  • A three-disc deluxe edition, offering bonus remixes and experimental versions by contributors like 65daysofstatic, Mogwai, and Chino Moreno.

In addition to being a musical milestone, Mixes of a Lost World will serve a charitable purpose. Proceeds from sales will benefit War Child UK, an organization dedicated to protecting and educating children affected by conflict around the globe.

This announcement follows The Cure’s recent comeback success with Songs of a Lost World, which marked their first studio album in 16 years. That record debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and reinvigorated their global fan base.

With Mixes of a Lost World, The Cure not only revisits the haunting beauty of their latest work but also reaffirms their legacy as musical innovators willing to collaborate and push artistic boundaries.
