This was an impressive win on both sides of the ball, as LeBron James, Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell and Taurean Prince, all contributed heavily to the offense.
Anthony Davis was a terrific defensive anchor all night, altering shot after shot while forcing the Knicks to settle for contested mid-range and three-point jumpers.
Max Christie also provided some great spot minutes, which, in combination with Jaxson Hayes having arguably his best game of the season, led to the Lakers’ bench being a lot more impressive than usual.
This all said the Knicks were without their entire starting frontcourt and a key bench piece in Quentin Grimes. However, overall a win is a win and escaping a hostile Madison Square Garden is never easy.
