Nottingham Forest Step Up Timothy Weah Hunt With New Mega Offer
Nottingham Forest are chasing Juventus winger Timothy Weah — and this time they mean business.
Forest, who missed out on the 23-year-old defender last month when the first deal collapsed over personal terms, are thought to have made a new offer to the player that includes a dramatically improved wages and bonuses in a last-ditch bid to tempt the U.S. international to the City Ground. It is believed that talks have now reopened and Forest are keen to get the deal tied up before they embark on their pre-season tour.
The former deal between Forest and Juventus wasn’t quite done, but the plug was pulled in the depths of the day as Weah rejected the move, said to be unimpressed with the wages on offer. But Forest are not willing to give up the fight.
Now with Premier League aspirations at the club ramping up — and pressure increasing on the boardroom to add quality out wide — the board appears to have decided to let the purse strings go.
“We still believe Timothy is right for where we are going,” one person close to the discussions said. “He’s fast and creative and fearless — exactly what we need.”
Weah, who transferred from Lille to Juventus last year, has found it hard to secure regular starts in Serie A, and a stint in the Premier League might give him an opportunity to hit reset. Forest supporters, who have been buzzing with transfer rumors, cautiously are optimistic.
“Oh my days, LOL,” tweeted one fan on social media, while another one also shared: “Some rangers fans will refuse to believe we’ve signed anyone.” “If this is true, it’ll be a MASSIVE signing!” He’s that type of player who can light up the City Ground.”

And so, with medical teams apparently on stand by, it seems that Forest are determined to act fast on this one.
It’s a waiting game still — but Forest’s latest intentions are very loud and clear.
