Morbid Angel Announces 2025 World Tour and New Album Release: A Thunderous Return to the Global Stage

Death metal legends Morbid Angel have officially announced a long-anticipated return with a massive 2025 World Tour, coinciding with the release of their upcoming studio album titled “Dominion of Shadows.” The announcement has ignited excitement across the metal community, marking the band’s first major international tour since 2019 and their first album release since 2017’s Kingdoms Disdained.

The tour will begin in September 2025 with a series of dates across North America, followed by stops in South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with a final leg in Africa—a historic first for the band. Morbid Angel will headline venues in major cities such as New York, São Paulo, Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney, and Cape Town, bringing their signature brand of ferocious technical death metal to fans old and new.

Speaking to fans via social media, founding guitarist Trey Azagthoth stated, “We’ve been working in the shadows for years, crafting something brutal, dark, and deeply rooted in the spirit of true death metal. With ‘Dominion of Shadows,’ we are opening a new chapter—heavier, faster, and darker than anything we’ve done before.”

The album, scheduled for release in August 2025 under Nuclear Blast Records, will reportedly blend the band’s classic sound with more experimental atmospheric elements. Longtime drummer Steve Tucker returns on vocals and bass, while guitarist Dan Vadim Von and newly recruited drummer Gabe Seeber complete the formidable lineup. According to insiders, the album features collaborations with notable producers and promises a return to the haunting themes and lyrical ferocity that fans have come to expect.

Early previews suggest Dominion of Shadows will include ten tracks, including titles like “Temple of Plague,” “Void Sanctuary,” and the blistering lead single “Sovereign of Suffering.” The single will debut on streaming platforms and YouTube on July 15, 2025, accompanied by a visually intense music video directed by horror filmmaker Jonas Åkerlund.

Tickets for the tour go on sale June 14, 2025, with exclusive VIP packages including meet-and-greets, signed vinyl editions, and behind-the-scenes access. Fans are advised to subscribe to the band’s official website and follow their verified social media accounts for pre-sale codes and venue details.

With a career spanning over three decades, Morbid Angel’s return promises to be one of the most powerful metal events of the decade. As the world prepares to descend into the Dominion of Shadows, death metal fans everywhere have every reason to rejoice.
