‘Ewww!’ Bills Mafia Delivers 6-Word Emotional Reaction to Diggs Signing.
Stefon Diggs’ Move to Patriots Sparks Mixed Reactions from Bills Mafia
Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has signed a three-year, $69 million contract with the New England Patriots, a divisional rival. The move comes just a year after Diggs was traded from Buffalo to the Houston Texans, where he played only eight games before suffering an ACL tear. In those appearances, he recorded 496 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 62.0 yards per game—his lowest since his 2017 season with the Minnesota Vikings.
During his four seasons in Buffalo, Diggs earned four consecutive Pro Bowl selections and was named to both the First-Team and Second-Team All-Pro at different times. In 2020, his first season with the Bills, Diggs led the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535). ‘Ewww!’ Bills Mafia Delivers 6-Word Emotional Reaction
Upon hearing the news, former Bills offensive lineman Jonathan Feliciano, who played alongside Diggs in 2020 and 2021, echoed the reaction of many Buffalo fans. He took to social media, posting a blunt response on X (formerly Twitter):
“Diggs EWWWW.”
Bills fans can likely relate to the frustration of seeing their former star join a longtime division rival. Meanwhile, Patriots fans and NFL analysts might also question the signing, given that Diggs is now 31 years old and coming off a serious knee injury.
However, it’s hard to blame Diggs for taking the deal. In addition to the financial aspect, he now has the opportunity to be the top receiving option in New England’s offense. Feliciano later clarified his remark after a fan commented, “Got a bag, can’t blame him.” His response?
“Yep. Just going to the Pats is yucky.”
Feliciano, who played nine seasons in the NFL, spent three years with Buffalo and was a full-time starter at right guard in 2019. He also had stints with the Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers before retiring in 2024.
