The Lakers are back at it on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets before they head back to Los Angeles after a week away from home. Not only will a win over the Hornets extend their winning streak to three, but a win will also have the Lakers finish above .500 for the first time on a road trip.

The Lakers close out their road trip Monday in Charlotte. If they win, it’ll mark the first time this season they’ve gone above .500 on any road trip.

Currently, the Lakers are 3-2 on their Grammy road trip. Things started off great after a double overtime win over their division rivals, the Golden State Warriors. However, the Lakers dropped two games on a back-to-back against the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks.

Things looked bleak for Los Angeles, as we discovered they’d be without LeBron James and Anthony Davis in their nationally envisioned game against the rival Boston Celtics on Thursday. However, the others stepped up on Thursday and Saturday against the Knicks to get their third road trip win.

It all comes to an end on Monday. The Lakers seem to be playing good basketball right now, but they’ve also been super inconsistent. We don’t know what team we’ll get against the Hornets, but hopefully, it’s the good version of this team.
